I just visited Charlie's website & he makes beautiful flutes. I wish I could learn to play one, but I have ZERO musical ability-> I think that's 1 reason I like music so much. I haven't watched/listened to all his videos yet, but of the 3 that I have, in the one entitled Josh-Honor, the images were as peaceful as the music. Thanks again for telling me about him
Here's a different version of Unchained Melody in which Carlos is joined by Jorge Sangre, who 1st plays the pan flute & then joins Carlos on the pan pipes. This 1 also has more scenery & the image is much sharper & larger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJp8AieKRWE

This may not be for all, but I find it very peaceful (especially w/ the mountains in the background). I have some Indian blood in my heritage though as my 1 grandma was part Cherokee & I have a deep connection w/ the Cherokee's reverence for nature. This is another Instagram sent to me by my sister; Unchained Melody on Indian pan pipes: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3ElKM-OqJY/?igsh=MFBveXU3ZHV3YWI1eg%3D
AIF just released another new clip->this 1 shows the other interactions between Archie & Dr. Thatcher (w/ the Jamaican voice & lg glasses). That's a funny bit, but the funniest part is when Archie asks Mike a biological ques. & Mike responds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqHZ1kZ0Q9Q

March winds come in roaring like a lion, so here's a roaring good time memory from our childhood, the Tilt-A-Whirl. When we went to Windy Hill for our summer vacations, my sister & I wholeheartedly agreed that the best ride at the MB Pavilion was the TAW. Here's a good pov video to spin up the memory of that ride: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d5GRznL-WM
If you'd care to step into The Way Back Machine & set the dial for 1967, you might remember this funny cartoon commercial. *one review says that Gene Wilder is doing 1 of the voices; regardless, hope it's worth a chuckle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBPPfZCdqYo
I was privileged/lucky enough to see this many times each fall on my way to the RMNP entrance on the other side of town. The elk are on their way to the Estes (s-tess, not s-tease; think Spanish vowel sounds) Park Golf Course to munch on green grass, sun themselves & feel safe in their #'s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDKAkh135t8

Memory test: See if you remember this little CBS Christmas greetings cartoon from 1966. It had a very nice environmental message. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUWMjUjit_U

If you didn't see this version of Now & Then, based on the thumbs up count, it's the best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Opxhh9Oh3rg

Some pics of fall in the CO Rockies; hopefully I haven't posted these before.
I'm biased; Chris Smither is now tied w/ JJ Cale as my fave musician, but Leave The Light On is an easy listening song, w/ great lyrics & check out the unique drum kit in this performance; cool! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIKCzn6Udmc

You probably remember Duncan yo-yo's & The Smothers Brothers (both were great fun), but do you remember this bit that they did? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR39tRbDcBk
Price Lake pics-> easy hike, 2.3 mi loop Most of the bright colors have "gone w/ the wind," (both literally & figuratively), but mild colors are still present & the next 3 days should be sunny w/ highs in the 60's
Fri 10/14- I could not go atop GF Mtn as they put up a sign saying: Sold out today; reservations only. I did take pics of an area behind GF & then went up to Linville & took more pics there. Color is not yet at peak, but should be by mid-late next week. Still, some nice color here & there though. This set is from the back of GF.
Yeah, I go through the old neighborhood once in a while & it's still basically the same. I hate that the hickory tree in our front yard is gone though; it was the best climbing tree in the neighborhood. Don't guess it matters though, as I haven't seen any kids climbing trees in ages. Each time I go back, I am reminded of why Westerly Hills Dr was such a good hill for sledding & skateboarding. It was a great neighborhood!
Are y'all planning a trip up to the NC mtns? If so & you'd like to catch up, get in touch & we can set up a mtn walk & talk. Have a good time while you're here! *given that it's fall & pecan time, thanks again for those grocery bags full of pecans you used to give me from that huge tree in the backyard of that 2nd house (white one) I still love munching on pecans while watching football games : )
