INDIAN LAND, SC :::::::::::::::Robert Earl “Bob” Blake - Perhaps it is most unusual to not write out these things in third person, but then again, when did Bob Blake ever do anything normal? If it’s okay with you, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about my dad. Bob Blake was the coolest man I have ever known. He loved to ride tractors and motorcycles and he loved to spend time on his farm. In fact, that is where he was when he died, on his farm, surrounded by his family – he was 60 years old. Bob loved his family and he loved the Lord. He also loved his wife beyond measure and had been known to say, “I don’t know why she loves me so much, but I’m not going to talk her out of it.” In his short years with us here, he showed so many of us how to love better, how to be more generous, and how to cherish the important things in life. This world is a much more beautiful place for having him in it.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Bill. He is survived by his wonderful wife and partner in mischief, Marla; his favorite daughter, Courtney; his mother, Charlotte; his brother, Rory; his sister, Scarlett; and, a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, we ask that tax deductable contributions be made to the Barn Brothers at www.barnbrothers.weebly.com.

A party to celebrate Bob's life will be held this coming Saturday at his farm in Lancaster at 6pm.

So sad to hear of the passing of Bob.

Knew him well at AG Junior High School, after 1969 never saw him again, Vietnam was the name of my game and school was his, good move Bob.

RIP my friend and know this, nothing with God is accidental.
