Mr. Donald White, 71, of Garner NC departed this life on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at his residence.

     Donald Bruce White slipped into eternity on Thursday, September 21, 2023.  He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 17, 1952 to Esker and Minnie White.

     Donald attended public schools in Charlotte and graduated from Myers Park High School in 1970.  He later attended and graduated from Chowan College and Georgia Southern University.

     He relocated to Chicago, Illinois where he was employed by General Motors Corporation in the Electro Motive Division for 31 years.

     He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Frances; a son, Jesse and a daughter, Aiyan (Shunnard) of Texas; two sisters, Cheryl White-Bailey and Elaine White of Charlotte; three nieces, Talisha and Tava Bailey of Charlotte, NC and Marnise White of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one nephew, Shawn Robinson (Kim); two great-nephews, Grant and Shawn Robinson, Jr. of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Justin, Quentin, Jamauree, Brianna, Eboni and Cason; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
