Catherine Elizabeth "Cathy" Taylor (Metz)

Thomas F. Elmore influenced my life in so many ways.  I was thrilled to be directed by him in a summer rep company at Queen's College following my Sedgefield years.  As a Myers Park drama student, I discovered the Stanislavski System through his exercises and Sonia Moore's book.  Later in life, I met Sonia Moore in a workshop.  She validated his techniques.  As a substitute teacher, I filled in for Mr. Elmore.  I was honored that he trusted me to direct his play.  Eventually, I followed him as the drama teacher at East Mecklenburg.  He retired from that position.  It was fun to see his name in the books I used.  I shall never forget Thomas Franklin Elmore.
