Jimmy Duckworth was my best friend thru high school to his sad passing of a brain anyeursysm in 2010. I learned to play guitar by playing in bands with Jimmy( and his brother Larry.) He became one of Charlotte's top musicians, playing in numerous bands, teaching guitar at CPCC, Davidson, Penbroke and Catawba Colleges. His TV show Jim Duckworth and friends was a staple on Charlotte cable axcess (also in NYC). for years...His presence in the pit for many CPCC theater productions is sorely missed..Charlotte's music scene lost a titan when Jimmy passed....
