Keith Raynard Blocker

Keith R. Blocker, 65, died on October 1, 2020, early in the morning in Tallahassee, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Blocker.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Faith Pearsall Blocker, mother Alberta Adams Blocker Massey, sisters Phyllis Blocker, and Harriet Blocker (Matthew), daughter Devian Blocker, 3 grandchildren Kaleb Sandoval, Shiloh Sandoval and Louis Phillips, 2 aunts, 1 uncle, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Keith loved life. He enjoyed fresh air, and sunshine. Keith was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Keith never met a stranger. He could be heard saying "what's happening", or what's up? When Keith was asked about his wife, Keith would sometimes say "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen".
Keith attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and graduated from Myers Park High School in 1973.
Prior to relocating to Tallahassee, Florida, Keith was employed by Bethlehem Center, Charlotte Mecklenburg School BEH Department. Keith was also in charge of summer camps in Charlotte.
After relocating to Tallahassee, Florida, Keith was employed by Big Bend CARES, and the Florida Department of Health where he was employed by the Gadsden County Health Department until his retirement in 2012. Keith's area of employment included HIV/AIDS, and sex education classes. Keith passed out so many condoms in Gadsden County that he was lovingly known by some residents as "The Condom Man".
Keith loved sports. He umpired softball, and officiated basketball. Keith had a special love for golf.
Keith became a member of the Maranatha Seventh Day Adventist Church in Tallahassee Florida in 1991. Keith served as Deacon, Choir member, treasury staff, soloist, first leader of the College Ministries, and was a past Pathfinder Leader.
