Timothy Alexander Davis

Mr. Timothy Alexander Davis 47, of Charlotte, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at Carolinas Medical Center. Funeral service for Mr. Davis will be held Saturday, October 19, 2002 at 2:00 PM at Providence United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. George E. Thompson, Reverend Dr. William T. Jeffries, and Reverend Teresa Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 PM.
Timothy was born in Wilmington, N.C. March 28, 1955 son of the late William Alexander and Alice Cummings Davis. He was a graduate of Myers Park High School and Central Piedmont Community College. Mr. Davis was employed with Duke Power for 26 years and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Timothy was very active at Providence United Methodist Church working with the youth as a FUSE Team Leader and also with the Boy Scouts of America working with Troop 11 and serving as assistance Pack Master and then as Pack Master for Pack 11.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Barbara Foster Davis; two sons, Dirk Alexander Davis and William Randolph Davis; daughter, Loren Estelle Davis all of Charlotte; three brothers, Kenneth Davis of Alexandria, VA., Michael Davis of Huntsville, AL. and Wayne Davis, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents two brothers Bob and Bill Davis precede Timothy in death.
