Race Hudson Farlow

Born August 8, 1955 - Died September 16, 2009

Mr. Farlow, age 54, of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009.
He was born in Drexel, NC on August 8th, 1955. Race served with, and was honorably discharged from, the U.S. Navy as a submariner. Subsequent to this service to his country, he was employed at Microsoft Corporation as a Senior Support Engineer where he had worked for 18 years.
Over and above his love of technology and computers, he was an avid outdoorsman and lover of life, embracing art and photography, motorcycles, and was heavily involved in animal rescue and animal welfare issues.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nineteen years, Valerie Toevs Farlow, mother Sylvia Farlow of Charlotte, brother John Farlow of South Dakota, and sister Kim Warriner of Wisconsin.
A memorial service in Race's memory will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 4545 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC.
