Barbara Sue Harlan CHARLOTTE - Barbara Sue Fish Harlan, 50, of Charlotte, died at Carolinas Medical Center Saturday (Sept. 24, 2005). Mrs. Harlan was born in Salisbury on March 22, 1955, a daughter of Dewie Beck Fish of Charlotte and the late Bob Fish. Barbara was a 1973 graduate of Myers Park High School and was employed with PSA Home Healthcare. She was employed with Charlotte Memorial Hospital in 1973, where she met her husband of 30 years, Maurice H. Harlan. A member of St. Patrick 's Cathedral, Barbara was a loving wife and devoted mother and Nana to her granddaughter. She enjoyed crafts, cross-stitch, ceramics and shopping. In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include son Adam M. Harlan of the U.S. Navy and wife Jessica of Charlotte; daughter Kristina L. Monk and husband Clint of Gastonia; brothers John and Roger Fish, both of Charlotte; and granddaughter Kaleigh Marie Monk. Service and visitation : A Mass for Mrs. Harlan will be held at St. Patrick 's Catholic Cathedral at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Paul Q. Gary celebrant. A Rosary will be held at the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service tonight at 7, with the family receiving friends following the Rosary until 8:30.
