Carey Dowd Latimer
July 2, 1955 - August 3, 2022
Carey Dowd Latimer, 67, of Newton, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at his residence.
He was born July 2, 1955 in Mecklenburg County to the late Walter Bennett “Ben” Latimer and Marie Dowd Latimer. Carey was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hickory. He loved to play golf and was very proud of his achievement of becoming an Eagle Scout. Carey was grateful for the summers in Linville while growing up.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Carey’s life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Catawba Country Club in Newton.
