Jon was a wonderful guy and had many many friends at MP. Hard for me to believe he has been gone since 1995. I will never forget his outside funeral in Matthews at a funeral home on a beautiful sunny day.. Dr Louis Patrick of Trinity Presbyterian presided over Jons service. It was a packed celebration and Dr Patrick did a masterful tribute to our dear friend. Just as he completed his comments, a huge gust of wind blew through the tent we were all in. Without missing a beat, Dr Patrick said "that was Jon saying goodbye to us all and heading to his heavenly home"! Jon will be forever missed and never forgotten!
Jonny Mundorf was one of the most loyal friends I ever had. I knew him since kindergarten and we were usually in the same class at Selwyn. If you ever got to know Jon, you knew how damn funny he was. No one has ever made me laugh more or harder than Jon could. I was so sorry to see him pass, but our loss was God's gain. I guarantee you all the hosts in Heaven are laughing at something he says.
