Sandra Pappas

April 2, 1955 – October 20, 2020

Sandra was born in Gastonia but grew up in Charlotte. She graduated from Myers Park in 1973.
She attended NC State University and graduated with a degree in Horticultural Science. She
remained lifelong friends with her Wolfpack buddies.
After college Sandra had a variety of jobs. Her love of travel included Florida, several trips to
Greece and Cancun, Hawaii, etc.
In the early 1980’s she moved to Asheville, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She
started her own landscaping business. She also worked in the hospitality industry.
From 2008 – 2020 she was employed by Mission Hospital. She worked in a laboratory assisting
the surgical staff.
Sandra was very family oriented. Sadly she passed away in October of 2020 after a long and
valiant fight with pancreatic cancer.
