David Talmadge Reid died June 10, 2020. David was born on October 7, 1955 to David Flake Reid and Betty Austin Reid.
David was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Kimberly Jean Reid. David is survived by his daughter, Kelly Austin Reid; wife, Sherry Parratt; brother, Norman Patrick Reid and spouse, Eric Hillestad; and many cousins, extended family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held on Monday June 15, 2020 at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.

David was my neighbor. As children we played all over his house and yard on Roswell. I remember a basketball game with Jimmie and Arthur Fogartie in David's driveway. I will remember him as a good, kind and gentle person.

In the fall of 1976, I went to go see King Arthur of the Round Table musical at Duke U. and was surprised to see David playing Arthur. I spoke to him after the performance. He was kind and a great performer and singer!
