 Margaret Sabrina Davis Cagle

MURRELLS INLET - Sabrina Davis Cagle, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Magnolia Bridge Memory Care in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, surrounded by her loving husband and adoring children.

Born on February 25, 1957, in Hemingway, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William Bernard Davis, Sr., and Margaret Ann Eaddy. Sabrina was raised in Hemingway, where she formed deep connections within her community. She truly embodied the grace and spirit of a distinguished Southern Belle.

Sabrina attended Hemingway High School where she became a cheerleader and served as a drum major in the marching band. Her classmates named her Miss Junior, a nod to the warmth and charm she shared with everyone. Before her senior year, Sabrina moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, and graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in 1975.

Sabrina later earned her RN from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in 1981 and proudly began her nursing career there, where her dedication to caring for others truly came to life. That same year, she married John Mark Ousley. In 1984, they made their home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where they joyfully welcomed their first child, Jeremy. Two years later, they were blessed with a daughter, Brittany, completing their family. Of all her roles in life, none brought Sabrina more joy than being a mother. She devoted herself to raising her children, guiding them with endless love and care throughout their lives.

Her nursing career spanned nearly 40 years, during which she worked tirelessly in various roles. After moving to Myrtle Beach, Sabrina began working in labor and delivery at Conway Hospital, later transitioned to Public Health with DHEC where she cared for patients with infectious diseases, and eventually retired from Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital, where she specialized in gastroenterology. Sabrina was a caring and nurturing nurse who always provided her patients with comfort and peace, and she was equally respected by her colleagues for her compassion, calming presence, and unwavering dedication to her work

In 2004, Sabrina remarried James Cagle, and the two settled in Garden City, South Carolina. Over their nearly 22-year marriage, they built a life grounded in family and meaningful relationships with their neighbors. Sabrina also embraced the role of grandmother and was lovingly known as 'Nina' to her cherished grandsons—Tommy, Tyler, Ellis, and River.

To know Sabrina was to love her—she was the very definition of the warmth and kindness those words express. Known to all for her gentle spirit, radiant smile, and pure soul, Sabrina was also the best listener, a steady encourager, and someone who loved and accepted people exactly as they were. She loved shag dancing, a good ole Southern pig-pickin’, and Saturday mornings out for breakfast with her beloved mother and kids. She delighted in embroidery, weekend family dinners, and relaxing under an umbrella at the beach. She enjoyed riding on the back of Jim’s Harley, was a proud Citadel and CCU mom, and deeply treasured time with her loved ones.

Left to cherish Sabrina’s memory are her husband, Jim, of Garden City, SC; her son, Jeremy, and his wife, Laurie, of Moncks Corner, SC, along with their sons, Tommy and Tyler; her daughter, Brittany, and her husband, Brian, of Murrells Inlet, SC, and their sons, Ellis and River; her brother, William Davis, Jr., and his wife, Cindy, of Florence, SC, and their daughters, Michelle and Jessica; and her sister, Robin Phillips of Denver, North Carolina. She is also remembered fondly by a large, loving extended family, as well as many devoted friends and neighbors. Sabrina is reunited in passing with her parents, William Bernard Davis, Sr., and Margaret Eaddy Phillips.
