
Eugene was a loving spouse, a devoted father, a loving grandfather and a faithful servant of God. He loved and provided for his family unconditionally. He adored his loving wife Christine with all of his heart.
Eugene loved worshipping on Wednesdays and Sundays with his fellow Saints. He enjoyed attending his grandson Brockton's soccer games. From coaching his 2 sons Chris and Troy from Little League Baseball to Junior League Baseball to umpiring High School Baseball and all the Leagues in Crozet, Virginia with his oldest son Chris. He loved to be on the baseball field helping children of all ages while faithfully donating to children in need. No matter what age his sons were he was always supporting and cheering for them whether on the sideline coaching them or in the stands cheering for them.
Eugene grew up in Sugar Hollow in Crozet, Virginia along with his 7 siblings. He had 3 brothers Joe, Tommy, Charlie and 4 sisters Mary, Bernice, Catherine, Rachel. His father was Charlie James Sandridge and His mother was Eula May Sandridge.
Eugene raised 2 sons Chris and Troy with his loving soulmate Christine Juanita Sandridge. Eugene also had 1 grandson Brockton which he loved with all his heart. Eugene and Christine were married 54 years when God called him for his everlasting place in Heaven. The Lord opened up the Heavens for his faithful servant to be in a place where there will be no more suffering, no more pain, no more tears and a place of nothing but Love, Peace and Joy.
Eugene served in the US Army transporting doctors to help injured soldiers. Eugene worked many years at UVA starting in the Stockroom and retiring transporting UVA students around campus.
The Church of God on Aero Drive in Waynesboro, Virginia had a significant impact on the understanding of God's word and the spirit of the Lord for Eugene. All the Saints and the Congregation of the Church welcomed Eugene and his wife Christine with open arms. Eugene had so much joy in worshipping with his fellow Saints and singing songs for the Lord. They were like family to Eugene and his wife Christine. Eugene grew spiritually inclined with the love that God had for him. He loved his church family so much and his time with them his son could see how the Church of God on Aero Drive in Waynesboro, Virginia changed his life and helped him grow spiritually and to know the word of God more than he already knew and to apply it in his life. God is a way of life . The Saints and Congregation of the Church of God on Aero Drive in Waynesboro, Virginia walked with Eugene until the day the Lord called him home in Heaven.
