Col. Hubert Lee Bailey, 81, Died June 8, 1999, in Veteran"s Hospital in Columbia.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the Late James Robert and Letitia Moore Bailey. He was a retired Army Colonel. He also was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church of Columbia.

Surviving are two daughters, Letitia Paula Bailey of Alea, Hawaii and Katheryn Hammer of Mount Pleasant; three brothers, Woodrow Bailey and John Harold Bailey, both of Duncan, and James M. Bailey of Greer, and a grandson.

Graveside services, with full military rites, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Mountain View Cemetery in Greer, SC.

The family will receive friends at graveside, following the service.

Wood Mortuary of Greer is in charge of arrangements.
