In Memory

James "Michael" Bibb

Michael was not a graduate of Albemarle High School.  Michael was known by many at AHS and was the son of Varsity Baseball Coach Jimmy Bibb.  He has relatives who are AHS graduates.  Jimmy, Terri, Elaine, family and friends, our thoughts and prayers are with you.  The Albemarle High School Alumni Association is proud to honor Michael on our In Memory page.

He was born on January 22, 1990.

Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Elizabeth Bibb.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Elaine K. Bibb; his parents, Jimmy and Terri Bibb; his sister, brother-in-law and nephew, Elizabeth Ann, Aaron and Charlie Martens of Dayton, Virginia; and his maternal grandparents, George and Barbara Norcross. He also leaves behind his uncle and aunt, Barry and Pat Bibb, cousins, Jeff Bibb, Charity Bibb, and Bryan Bibb of Scottsville, Virginia; an aunt, uncle and cousin, Angelea Norcross-Foster, Evan Foster, and Evan C. Foster of Southern Shores, North Carolina. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law and her husband, Anne and Charlie Eaton; and two brothers-in-law, Lukas Ivey and Brayden Kemp of Jackson, Michigan. He leaves behind his father-in-law Shawn Kendall; his grandmothers-in-law, Rosemary Kemp, and Lou Holt; grandfather-in-law, Charles Kendall; and grandmother and grandfather-in-law George and Linda Eaton. Michael also leaves many, many other close relatives and friends.

Michael loved to hunt and fish. He also loved the game of baseball, whether he was coaching a team himself or cheering on his dad's teams. He was an avid University of Virginia fan and attended football and basketball games almost from the day he was born.

Michael was a very strong Christian and very active in his church especially in the youth and men's ministries. He did whatever was asked of him every Sunday, from singing, to working the sound board, to loading and unloading all of the equipment.

Michael was a 2008 graduate of The Covenant School in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he served as a team captain of the baseball team his senior year. He returned to Covenant the following year to coach the 8th grade baseball team. Michael attended Piedmont Virginia Community College and then went to work at Southern States, where he worked for approximately two years. He then went to work for Intrastate Pest Control and was presently working for the valley office.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday August 24, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 735 Park St, Charlottesville, VA 22902, with Pastor Lindsay Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday August 23, 2013, at First Baptist Church.

To honor Michael, we request that you not wear black to the funeral. We would prefer attendants to please wear University of Virginia Orange and Blue, Covenant, CHS or Albemarle High School attire.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Spirit FM, All Points Christian Church, or Albemarle High School Baseball Boosters. Friends may send condolences to the family at www.hillandwood.com.
