Charles V. Taylor

Charles V. Taylor, 81, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Martha Jefferson Hospital, following a brief illness. Born August 30, 1933, in Stanardsville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Mabel and Carrol Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Perk Taylor and Sam Taylor. Charles is survived by his children, Wanda Taylor, Charles Taylor Jr. and his wife, Sherry, and Gail Pillow and her husband, Keith; grandchildren, Evan and his wife, Ashleigh, Morgan, Cameron, Ryan, Keith and Kyle; sister, Mary Marks; brothers, Glenn, Bobby, Tom and Clyde; and special friends, Vicki Shiflett and Trudy Neofotis. Charles served with the Marines in the Korean War. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Virginia Cavaliers. He was well known to many in Charlottesville from his many years at the White Spot. Charles was a lifetime member of the VFW and the Elks. The family gratefully thanks the providers and staff of Martha Jefferson Hospital for all of their care.
