He  was in the coast guard during Vietnam War. Just passed away from metastatic lung cancer 7/15. He was my first "steady" boyfriend in 7th grade (for 2 weeks) and we reconnected in 1992. We had wonderful experiences together adn explored China and the Western US during te 10 years we were together. He will be missed by all his friends and family.
