Cathie Christie-- what a ton of fun she was!! the biggest smile in the universe, and funny as hell! I met her when Becki Maiden and I pledged a Chatsworth girls club, the name of which escapes me. We got to be friends and she kept all of us in stiches, when the club disintegrated we all stayed friends. The Diontees was a direct spinoff of that club shutting down. I will always remember Cathie and her effervescent smile. She could make you laugh on the darkest days. She is missed still.
Yes-Cathie had a certain something special about her…a combination of serenity and effervescence. I believe the name of the club that Taree couldn't remember was the Laurelles(sp?)and many of the girls were from Granada High.
