Lonny Earl. Sweet, patient Lonny. What fond memories.
As kids, He, Joan Jane and I all took dancing lessons at the Marion Hall Dance Academy. He was the only boy, and got stuck being a partner to literally EVERYONE. He was such a good guy, and a hell of a dancer. Being the only boy, he was the 'lifter' in the ballet and Adagio class and a bunch of other classes. Poor thing, he had to fling all of us into the air and hold us there. (Luckily we were all twigs back then). Then there were the double cartwheels, double handstands, and the other lifts... He was always the one hoisting somebody!
He was very gracefull, and we trusted him completely not to drop us. We all practiced for hours at either Joanie's or my house. The three of us lived on 'the other side of the tracks' grin. On the other side of the L.A. river, (when it was still a river) on big pieces of property, when most of the valley had turned to subdivisions. We spent years and years hanging out, dancing and playing together.
He was a great mechanic also, and I think that's what he ended up doing as a vocation. I remember when the Earls sold their house finally, after we all graduated from high school. It was a really cool house, kind of like a hobbit house from the front. The buyers put it up on a truck to move it to another property and it fell off when they turned the corner. We all mourned for that weird little house, as it was so unigue.
Lonny and i were great friends in high school he did lead a hard life then. I am so sorry to hear about this he was friends with Robert Berryhill was my boyfriend in junior high columbus.

Lonny still has a place in my heart.
