I first met and became good friends with Janet at the beginning of 8th grade at Christopher Columbus Junior High in Canoga Park. Janet and I lived in Chatsworth just a couple of streets over from each other and would sit together on the bus. We spent a lot of time hiking up in the hills and climbing Stony Point, and sleep over at each others houses. I will always remember her red hair and the glasses she wore back then. One memory I remember well. We wanted french fries and didn't have any money. My dad was home and Janet said "Go ask you dad for money." She quickly added, "Let me ask him. He likes me better than you."
I send my condolences to her family. May Janet rest in peace.
Thanks Linda, for sharing your memory of Janet. She was my everything for 57 years and it's nice to know that others have memories of her. We had a wonderful life together. Jim Schultz class of 68.
