Classmate Marcus Nave found and forwarded to us the following obituary about Mike:
"MICHAEL THOMAS FEELEY Born into this world on June 13, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan, to Lea and John Feeley. He received his angel wings on March 26, 2002 in Simi Valley, California, where he resided. Mike came to California when he was nine years old, along with three other brothers and one sister. He graduated from Chatsworth High School in 1968, playing football and baseball. His first job began on April 20, 1970 when he was drafted by the United States Army to serve a tour in Vietnam. Mike spent one year in the jungles and served his country with honor. He spent 15 years as a carrier with the United States Postal Service. Mike was married for 24 years to his wife, Mary Lou, and his treasures were his two daughters, Julie (23) and Kelli (17). Mike enjoyed life in its simplicity. He was and will continue to be an example to many. The lives that he touched were countless. Mike served a living God and his life was a testimony. He was a humble man, who found the passion in life in his 1984 Toyota pickup, listening to his favorite Rock 'n' Roll tunes, watching the Lakers, and sharing precious time with his family. Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; two daughters, Julie and Kelli; brothers, Pat, Jack and Tim; and sister, Nancy. Mike's life will be celebrated. Viewing Services will be held on April 1, 2002 at Valley Park Baptist Church at 16514 Nordhoff Street, North Hills, at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service s will be held the following day at 10:30 a.m., at the same location as above.
