Regenia R. Wingfield

JULY 27, 1949 – SEPTEMBER 28, 2020

Mrs. Regenia R. Wingfield, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Regenia was a native of Chattanooga, born on July 27, 1949 to Harold and Jeanette Roberts. She was a longtime member of Mountain Creek Church of Christ. For many years she enjoyed the pleasure of caring for many children in her home. Regenia was preceded in death by her grandmother, Kate Roberts, her parents, as well as her loving husband, Dennis A. Wingfield Sr., daughter, Amiee Wingfield, and half sisters, Tommie Jane Stevens and Kim Hanes. Survivors include her son, Dennis A. Wingfield Jr. and wife, Sheila; grandchildren, Logan, Austin, and Brooke Wingfield; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers, Megan, Janie, Tracee, Karen, and Beverly for the love and care given to Mrs. Wingfield. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 1st from 4-7 pm and Friday, October 2nd from 1-2 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 2 pm with Minister Ken Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
