Mrs. Alice Mae Clevenger Cooper age 72, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Alice was born in Chattanooga, TN, on March 14, 1950, the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Ellen Freidl Clevenger. She attended Philippi Baptist Church. Alice earned English, Psychology, and Education Degrees.  She was one of Chattanooga’s Top Realtors from 1985-1997 and will be remembered by her colleagues as “A Walking Chamber of Commerce” (She knew everyone). She had a generous heart and was a very gifted artist. Alice loved God and her family above everything. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Robert Graham Clevenger, Ernest Allen Clevenger, Jr., and Michael Dale Clevenger.

Survivors include her loyal husband, Larry Cooper, to whom she was married for over fifty years as of March 17th, 2022; three children, Tyson Cooper (Niki), Craig Cooper (Laura), and Stuart Cooper (Jenny); ten grandchildren, Jordan Cooper Parks (Austin), Karis, McCade, Madison, Joshua, Philip, Charlotte, Chase, Knox, and Penelope Cooper. Several nieces, nephews, and special friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 1:00 P.M., Heritage Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.

I'm so sad to hear that Alice Clevelenger Cooper passed away. Alice was not only beautiful on the outside but she had such a beautiful spirit as well. My condolences to her family.

I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR OF ALICE'S PASSING. SHE WAS A GOOD FRINED.I WILL BE PRAYING FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY FOR GOD TO COMFORT THEM ALL DURING THIS TIME.

I am so sorry to learn of Alice's passing. I always think of her with her infectious laugh, lighting up the entire classroom. Her family will miss her, as will we all.

Shelley Wilkinson (Irwin) (1968)

I talked with Alice several time since her surgery for her broken leg.  I wanted to go to see her but her rehab schedule was such that I was waiting until she was through.  I am praying for Larry, Tyson, Creig and Stewart.
