Charlie and I were friends from early grade school at Sunset Elementary and we both grew up in Airway Heights. We entered the Navy together on the buddy system. We lost contact until last year when we got together a few times to play poker. It was great catching up with him. He was a great guy. I now realize that he played a major role in my life, in my younger years, one of the guys, a good friend. Rest in Peace.
