Robert “Bob” Hicks, 82 passed away on August 3, 2022 at his home in Juneau, Alaska. Bob was born in Cherokee, Iowa on May 28, 1940 to Dale & Marjorie (Casey) Hicks. He graduated from Cherokee High School in 1958. After high school he enlisted in the U.S.Coast Guard. He married Sandra (Sandi) Bryce in 1966. He was stationed in Bermuda, Michigan and Alaska before retiring in Sitka, Alaska in 1979 after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his children with Sandi, Dale Hicks of Juneau, Alaska and Lisa Schwartz of Sitka, Alaska; his sister and brother-in-law Carol & Emil Rumohr of Royal, Iowa, his former wife, Sandi Hicks of Juneau, Alaska; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 8 nieces & nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and his second wife, Judy Hicks. He will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery in Sitka, Alaska.
