     Floyd C. George, age 79, passed away on December 29, 2018 at home in East Tawas, MI.

     Floyd was born in Chapin, MI on August 21, 1939 to Floyd and Fern (Curtis) George.

     He is survived by his wife JoAnn of 28 years.  He worked for GM and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.  He enjoyed motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, and camping.

     His children are: Floyd George Jr. of Battle Creek, MI; Susan and Dave Giles of Grosse Ile, MI; Shelly and Wayne Kelly of SC; Kevin and Terri George of Kalamazoo, MI; Mark Archer of Oakley, MI; Mary and Dave Stein of Oscoda, MI; step-sons: Bill Archer of Elsie, MI; and Joel Archer of VA; seven grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.   He is also survived by sisters: Carol McFall of White Lake, MI; Janice and Jim Danek of Hudsonville, MI; and Julie and Bob Harden of Ovid, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marilyn, and brother-in-law Roger.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1:00 P.M., with Mr. Daniel Cameron officiating.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
