Donald G. Hart
Age 74 of Oakley passed away Saturday, January 3, 2014 at his home with an Irish wake.
Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Ward officiating. Burial will follow at West Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 8pm.
Donald was born January 9, 1940 in Owosso, the son of Donald D. and Bertha (Amman) Hart.
He graduated from Chesaning High School, class of 1958 and attended G.M.I. and U of M.
Don was a member of MMOGTA, the NRA and the Handyman Club. He enjoyed Louis LaMour books, guns, model trains, bowling, woodworking, John Deere antique tractors, his doodle bug, Fox News, Nascar, Ford's, Law and Order, working in his garage, and the Michigan Wolverines.
He worked at Woodards for 42 years.
Don is survived by his children Greg (Terri) Hart, Wendy Hart Vieyra (Art), Jim (Mary) Hart, Susan (Alan) Hogan, Michele (Joey) Hill, Ed (Michele) Hart, Brian Hart (deceased), Jennifer Hart, Victor Tithof-Hart ; grandchildren Tori, Michael, Trisha, Kym, Andrew, Jacob, Christian, Dakota, Jordan, Tassia, Cassie, Cande, Zeke, Mo, Justin, Brett, Dennis and Zoey; great-grandchildren Raven, Bradley, Chase, Chloe, Katryna, Kaytlynne, Bryanna and Francisco; siblings Betty (Dave) Adler, Clare (Holly) Hart, Rose (Bill) Grasper, Linda (Johnny) Palasio, Theresa (Basil) Zimmer, Lorraine (Larry) Eckert, Miles Hart, Rich (Deb) Hart, John Hart and Amy (Curt) Haling, Tommy (deceased); dear friend Betty Deitering; his pets Buster, Cookie and Oreo.
