Second Lieutenant Robert S Frutchey, 24 of 341 Winchester Ave., Langhorne, died suddenly Thursday of Injuries received in a jeep accident at Fort Hood, Texas.
Lieutenant Frutchey was stationed with the U S Army 1st Battalion, 177th Calvary at Fort Hood. He was a 1968 graduate of Neshaminy High School, Langhorne, and a graduate of Pennsylvania Military College in 1972.
He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Langhorne, and of the Pershing Rifle Drill Team. He was captain of the brigade in his senior year.
He received a distinguished military student of war award and also holds the Robert Chinquina Award for the outstanding senior commissioned in the Armoured Division
