1952-2011
Stephen "Steve" Fasen, 59, died Oct. 22 from liver and pancreatic cancer after he was able to complete his "bucket list" of traveling in a motor home with his sisters to Yellowstone, the Tetons and the Cody museum.
He was born Feb. 1, 1952, and raised in Cheyenne and lived here most of his life. He graduated from East High School in 1970 and worked for Mead Lumber and Capitol Lumber.
He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, working on his home and cooking for family and friends. He was the consummate Broncos fan.
Steve is survived by his sisters, Karen LaCroix (Eldon Stellpflug), Marcia Ziegelman (Merle); his daughter, Danielle Fasen; and four grandchildren, C.J., Michael, Chloe and Abigail. He also leaves behind his loving companion, Katherine Allen; his dearest friend, Doug Ricketts; and his beloved little dog, "Beezer."
Steve and his family so appreciate the love, care and support of Davis home hospice, Drs. Batezine and Tarabily and his Capital Lumber family. Without them, he could not have remained in his home.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes at 1 p.m. Saturday, with Pastor Dave Stratton officiating. Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
