Richard Rodriguez

Richard Marcus Rodriguez Jr., 48, of Cheyenne died Jan. 28 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

He was born on Jan. 7, 1965, in Cheyenne and had lived here all of his life.

Richard was working in sales at Walmart and had previously been employed at King Soopers.

He graduated from East High School in 1984 and was a member of Family Harvest Church. Richard loved music, movies, sports and the Oakland Raiders.

Richard is survived by his wife, Toni (Vialpando) Rodriguez, whom he married on May 2, 2009, in Cheyenne; a son, Caleb Rodriguez of Cheyenne; his father and stepmother, Richard Sr. and Linda Rodriguez of Cheyenne; his grandmothers, Lupe Rodriguez and Helen Scott, both of Cheyenne; a sister, Tracie Anderson of Burns; a stepdaughter, Micah Jackson of Cheyenne; a stepbrother, Dean Rogers of Cheyenne; two stepsisters, Dawn Marshall of Douglas and Nadine Rogers of Burns; his aunt, Elizabeth Winnett (T.J. and Jerry) of Murphysboro, Tenn.; his uncle and aunt, Jerry and Carmel (Andrea) of Cheyenne; a brother-in-law, Casey Vialpando (Madison and Lillie) of Cheyenne; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kelly and Frank Montejano (Kiko and Jennica) of Wijshagen, Belgium; his parents-in-law, Anthony and Cristie Vialpando of Cheyenne; and his grandparents-in-law, Bonnie Malson of Buffalo, and Ben and Prady Vialpando of Rawlins.

He was preceded in death by a son, Malachi Rodriguez; and his grandfather, Pete Rodriguez.
