Bill Barta reported that Omer Uner passed away on December 4, 2008.  He was a member of the McHenry Detachment of the Marine Corps League and served in the Marine Corps.  Bill had lunch with Omer Uner a week before his passing.  Omer had been suffering from a chronic lung condition and an oxygen bottle was his constant companion at that time.
