In Memory

John Weber

Submitted by his twin brother, Nick Weber:

John and I were nine minutes apart, and both graduated from Lane Tech in 1970. He was extremely intelligent and had nice friends. After graduation he worked at Finkl Steel in Chicago for 30 years. In 2002 he and his wife moved to St. Petersburg Florida until October 2018 when they relocated to Franklin NC. Four years ago he contracted lung cancer, believed to have been caused during his 30 years in the steel mill. It later migrated to the brain and was eventually inoperable. John loved the outdoors, the National Parks, photography, hiking, kayaking, tennis, hanging with his wife and his grandkids, and was a good, decent, kind hearted man who was taken from us too soon. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. As his twin, I feel like a part of myself is gone as well. May God Bless his eternal soul and bring peace to his family and friends.
