Hello and Happy Holidays all,
There are several "Little Library" book swap stands scattered around the downtown Kenosha area. These are "Birdhouse" sized cabinets where people can donate books and/or take books to read. I have seen these in other areas also, for example, I came across one in Westfield, Indiana, several years ago (got a book on my "need to read list" from that one). Because I am an avid reader, I drop by a couple of the downtown Kenosha ones from time to time when I am wandering around that area to drop off or take a book or two. Last Wednesday evening as I was walking to one of our downtown shops, I stopped by one to check out what books were in there and if there was one or two I wanted to take to read.
Lo and behold, I discover a novel written by one of our very own, a fellow Lane 76'er. I did not know about her being an author until our 40th reunion and through our 1976 message forum. The book was a Christmas love story novel, so I took it to read as it will fit well with having something to read during my Christmas break. So thank you Terri for writing that story, as this is the first time I have "come across" a classmate via the "Little Library" stand. I would say that this is one of the more unique ways that our class of 76 can be anywhere, anytime, and in any way possible.
