Hey, Jim...looking good!
I knew Rick throughout high school and Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa, where he, Barry Gerber and I were roommates in the fall of 1963. During our New Trier years, the three of us spent a lot of time over at Barry's house, tinkering with Barry's Chrysler 300F. Rick was forever under the hood, on a creeper under the car, always with a socket wrench or something in his hand. Rick was one of my closest and dearest friends, and there are many funny, fascinating and even tragic stories I could share in a different forum. The last time I spoke with Rick was at the 50th Class Reunion back in 2013, when a group of us set up a Skype call to him at his sister's house in Wisconsin. At that point he was living in a nursing home, but he was very excited to be able to connect with us that day. I will always remember him with great love and affection. Rest in peace, old friend...
I didn't know Dick other than his being one of my classmates, but I do remember him being in a few of my classes during my four years at New Trier. He was always a happy, upbeat young man and very popular. It's always tough to hear about the passing of one of our classmates, and I know he'll be missed a great deal. R.I.P., Dick...
Steve was a very good guitarist, and although I never played in a band or anything with him, I heard him play numerous times at various New Trier student functions. I, too, was shocked to hear of his passing many years ago.
