Obituary for Edward Hicks
Edward John Hicks III, aged 67 died April 2nd 2013 in Northglenn, Colorado. Born August 7th in Evanston, IL to the late Edward John Hicks II and Edith Hicks, currently of Evanston, IL. John grew up in suburban Chicago and graduated from New Trier High School in 1963. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder before serving in the Air National Guard for 2 years. He returned to the University of Colorado and graduated in 1969. John lived in both Boulder and Denver for his adult life working in sales for Xerox and in commercial real estate for Hicks & Associates. He was known for his love of golf, his quick wit and his warm smile. He coached little league baseball and loved family vacations spent in Hilton Head, SC. Later in life John enjoyed Bible Study, surfing the internet and found great pleasure in watching his children and grandchildren thrive. John is survived by his wife, Beverly Harrison of Northglenn; his former wife, Cindy Owens of Boulder; his children Jason Hicks and his wife Amy of Denver, Hadley Hicks and her husband Tim Johnson of San Francisco, Meaghan O'Donnell and her husband Kevin of Fort Collins and Tyler Hicks of Santa Monica; his grandchildren Grace Hicks, Thomas Hicks, Samantha Hicks, Daniel O'Donnell and Lucy Johnson; his mother Edith Hicks and his three sisters Hollie Clay, Ann Sacks, and Martha Schnell.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday April 16th at 2:30 PM at Northglenn Heights Assisted Living Chapel: 11475 Pearl St Northglenn, CO 80233.
