Allen Trumbull Short, 57, of Barrington, Illinois passed away October 17, 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years of Carolyn, nee Miller; and was the father of Ashley Allen Short and Winthrop Middleton Short; son of the late Barbara, nee Allen, and the late Jeffrey Robson Short Jr.; brother of the late Jeffrey R. Short III; grandson of the late Annie, nee Trumbull, and the late Jeffrey R. Short and the late Elizabeth, nee Chapman, and the late Thomas Allen; nephew of Marian Short Harris and the late Beatrice Short Janus.

Service and interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for research to improve the quality of life of patients suffering from heart failure at the Northwestern Memorial Foundation, attention Ann Murray, 750 N. Lake Shore Dr., Suite 542, Chicago, IL 60611.
