Retired July, 2021 after 46 years as aprofessor in the Department of and on the faculty of the newely named Carson and Iris Varner Institute of International Business at Illinois State. Finance, Insurance and Law Our daughter Katrin has been my colleague in the department since 2000. Alexander Van der Veer Alesci was born to her Jan. 1, 2013.Our son Eric passed away October 4, 2019 of sudden heart failure while on tour with his PEN trio in Thailand. His ashes are in the fa,ily plot near our far

Happy birthday Bill. A picture of Alpha Trieri members under the great refractor at Yerkes hangs on the wall of our place at Interlochen, Michigan. It was really cold that night. My Meade 8 in. LX-90 still keeps it alive for me. I am still at it as professor in business at Illinois State University. Trust all is well. Kit Varner

This is Varner Farms in Edgar County, IL southeasty of Cham[paign. We grow corn and soybeans. Ownership goes back to 1853. I am generation 6 with kids and grandson being 7 and 8th.
