I received word of the passing of classmate Brock Gowdy in August 2023.                     

Brock was born in Iowa in December 1945. He played basketball on New Trier's first Suburban League championship where they went 13-1 in league play and 17-4 for the '62-'63 year. He graduated from Stanford University in 1967, received his law degree from UC Berkeley in 1970 and was admitted to the California Bar the same year. He was a member of the Supreme Court Histroical Society from 1987. 
Brock was an associate with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, San Feancisco from 1971-1978; and partner from 1978-2003. He was also managing partner-San Francisco office Morgan Lewis & Brockius, LLP.

Brock was married to our NT classmate Jennifer McKenrick from 1982 until 2018 (divorced) and was step-dad to her 4 children. They lived in the San Francisco bay area for many years and where Jennifer still resides.
