I remember your infectious smile, it was always there. Although we did not socialize in the same circles you were always kind. Too young to not be celebrating one last time with the kids from the hood, but we will honor your memory. Rest in Peace my friend, you are finally home and free of pain.
If I am right, Donna transferred to St. Andrew in 7th or 8th grade, but seemed to know a lot of people already. I didn't get to know her at school, but at our 25th year re-union we had a great time and great conversation. We both were surprised at how much real estate prices were going up (1998). We agreed that we'd sell our two-flats when the market hit $400,000. I sold mine at $360,000 in 2005. I imagine she hit $400,000 sooner if she was still in the neighborhood, Lakeview/North Center real estate had and still has commanded higher prices than my Jefferson Park neighborhood. Rest in Peace, Donna
Donna was absolutely gorgeous inside and out! She always had a smile on her face and wore the latest fashions. We lived on the same block so I saw her a lot. Donna had a magnetic personality that would draw you in. I will always remember her terrible heartbreak when her younger brother Danny in a motorcycle accident. I don’t think Donna was the same carefree girl after her tragic loss.
