    Garry Given Welch, 59, of Chillicothe died Friday July 28, 2000 in Amanda, Ohio following an extended illness.

    He was born June 29, 1941 in Chillicothe to Lloyd E. and Marcella Hart Welch.  On October 3, 1975 he married the former Marilyn McGee.

    In addition to his wife and mother of Chillicothe he is survived by a daughter Marci and her fiance Joshua VanMeter of Columbus; a daughter Christina and son Stephen Welch, both at home; twin brother Larry and Sandra Welch, Johnstown; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his father and an infant nephew.

    Garry was a member of the D.A.V., Amvets, Chilpaco Retirees, Bourneville Christian Brotherhood, and was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

    He was a member of the Bourneville Christian Union Church where his funeral will be conducted on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Newland officiating.  Military graveside service will follow in Londonderry Cemetery, conducted by the Ross County Veterans Firing Squad.  Friends may call today from 5-8 p.m. at the Haller Funeral Home.
