     Jim Burrus, a resident of Ooltewah, Tennessee passed away on August 23, 2011 in Tampa, Florida at the age of 70 as a result of esophageal cancer and heart problems.  He was a 1959 graduate of Chillicothe High School and had looked forward to attending the 35x2 Class Birthday Party on September 17, 2011.  He had suggested that we play "Spin the Bottle" for entertainment at the party.

     Jim is survived by his wife Yolande and children Tammy Lu, James, Monelle, and Annie.  Jim was an alumnus of Columbia Union College in Maryland and retired in 2006 following a career in management of various book concerns and food companies.  His hobbies included creataive landscaping, raising koi fish, and restoring old cars and trucks.

     A Celebration of Life service was held in  Ooltewah, Tennessee on September 3, 2011.  Jim will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
