Vivian Fair (Starr)

(11/07/1941-07/10/25)

Vivian Fair Starr was born Nov. 7, 1941 in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Marcella and Lt. Col. Charles Fair.  As the daughter of a career army officer, Vivian grew up living in many places including Hawaii, Germany and New Mexico.  She loved the Southwest in particular.

She was as intelligent and personable as she was beautiful.  She taught math both in high school and at Ohio University.  It was there, at O.U. on the first day of her last semester before graduation with her math degree that she walked into an advanced math classroom and met Darrel. They were married in 1964 and enjoyed a very happy 61-year marriage until she left us on July 10.

She helped many people and was always active in homeowner's associations.  With her husband, she enjoyed flying their small planes marveling at the beauty of the landscape.  She had a passion for training a succession of shepherd dogs that she coached to AKC championships as well as the highest obedience and tracking titles.

In recent years, Vivian enjoyed creating and tending to flower beds surrounding her home with colorful beauty all season long.  She leaves behind her loving family; husband Darrel, son Perry (Bekky) and granddaughter Miranda. The family is planning a Celebration of Life in September.
