Judith Anne Morris, 77, of Kingston, passed away Sunday morning, December 30, 2018 at her home.
She was born September 26, 1941, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Ovid “Bill” Speakman and Bernice Daniel.
Surviving are her four children, Craig (Kathy) Carroll, Brian Carroll, Teressa (Rocky) Patete, and Ami (Matt) Shaffer; eight grandchildren, Chris Lytle, Kevi and Michael Carroll, Jeremy (Cathy) Patete, Nicole Patete, Caden, Atley, and Paisley Shaffer; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Trapper, and Axel Lytle, Connor Austin, Zayne Patete, and Olivia and Gunnar McDaniel; two sisters, Betty Kellough and Cindy (Scott) Clipse; a brother, Mike (Juanita) Speakman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; a special group of friends including her best friend since childhood, Carolyn Elder; bonus family members, Gayle Irvin and Angie Shaffer; and special care taker, Shelly Horch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger, Don, and Keith Speakman, and best friend, Joyce Johnson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Adena Hospice group for all their love and support.
Judi was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1959. She went on to work as a bartender for nearly 40 years, and is best remembered at The Holiday Inn, Sir Richards, Damon’s, The Amvets, and the American Legion. In her free time, she enjoyed going to yard sales and going out to eat with her friend Carolyn. But her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, January 4, 2019, at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a visitation from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
