Nevin L. “Pinky” Thomas, 72, of Logan, formerly of Chillicothe, died at 2:12pm February 6, 2013, at OSU East Medical Center, Columbus, following a brief illness. He was born February 15, 1940, in Ross County to the late Fred and Blanche M. Thomas.

He is survived by his children: Anita Druppers, of Netherlands; Ingrid (Larry) Brumfield, Rochester, NY; Nicole (Ron) Locklear, Chesapeake, VA; Maridra (William) Stepp, Columbus; Kaleena M. Nesser, Frankfort; Chris (Ginny) Owens, Oswego, IL; 16 grandchildren including: Jaquon Nesser, Josiah Luckett, Jordan and Jaime Locklear, Sara and David Owens; Shawn, Brandy, Marshay, Alex, James, Melanie, Anthony, Summer and Keja Brumfield; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister Joyce Haithcock; an aunt Grace Harding; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Philip “Nick” Thomas, Sr.

Pinky was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. He retired from the B & O Railroad in 1983 and was a US Air Force Vietnam Veteran.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
