Patricia Jean Hiles, 71, of Chillicothe,
died 6:08 p.m. Saturday, January 2,
2016 in Heartland of Chillicothe
following an extended illness as a result
of progressive supra nuclear palsy.
She was born April 6, 1944, in
Chillicothe, to the late Clarence and
Leatha Garnes Malott. On March 5, 1967, she married the Rev.
Wayne R. Hiles who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Theresa L. Gordon, of West Carrollton;
sons, Shawn M. Hiles and Chris (Melissa) Hiles, both of Chillicothe;
grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Nick, Zach, Kayla, Elaina and Noah
Hiles and Jamison and Wesley O’Bryan; 5 great grandchildren; a
brother, Phillip (Karen) Malott, of Chillicothe; several nieces and
nephews, including niece Christie Walsh who was a caregiver; and a
former daughter-in-law, Debbie (Mike) Butman, of Chillicothe. She
was predeceased by a brother, David Malott.
Jean was a member of Brookside Church. She had served in several
capacities for 42 years at Nipgen Camp where she was best known as
the “Snack Hut Queen” and was a member of O.E.S. Chapter 419.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland
Hospice Nurses and Caregivers.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the
WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Mike Holbrook officiating.
Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call
at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
