Brian passed away on July 6, 2002 following a long battle with HIV/AIDS. He was an accomplished musician and a member of both the Chillicothe High School band and Ohio State University marching band. Following his diagnosis in 1997, Brian lived in Chillicothe and continued to work closely with CHS Band Director Dave Mossbarger where he donated his time and talents to the music program. Brian is survived by his parents, Melvin and Sondra Young of Chillicothe.

Bryan and I are first cousins we spent every weekend together at our Grandma and Grandads house. Bryan had a really tough time growing up and was treated like crap in middle school. I did what I could to defend him, like the time a swung out on the monkey bars at Worthington and dropped Chad so-n-so to the ground. Bryan was a great guy and spent two years living with our Grandparents and taking care of them. He was a selfless person with a big heart and I still haven't dealt with his passing. He was an only child and leaves behind his grieving parents. To anyone who struggles with their life choices I wish them love and peace.I love you Cuz. Ann-Marie
