Friday, October 2, 2009 * 7pm
Casual gathering at The Dock on Water. 80 E. Water Street. The back room has been reserved, but all food & drinks will be on own at this event.
Saturday, October 3, 2009 * 11am - 3pm
Join your classmates for a Family-Friendly afternoon, on the grounds of the home of Linda Brown (sister of Janet Friedman Makepeace), located on Cooks Hill Road. (Scroll down this page for MAP and DIRECTIONS.) At this event, donations will be taken to support CHS Athletics. This is a picnic-style casual event, so bring your favorite picnic blanket and comfy folding chairs.
Hot dogs, burgers & bottled water will be provided. Potluck side dishes and additional beverages are encouraged and will be appreciated! Unless retrieving Eggo's from the toaster is a culinary art, I am not to be included in the Chef category. But I know there are some great cooks in our class! So bring on the Yum-O food! (Please, no alcoholic beverages at this event.)
Your Kids are Welcome (no extra charge). Horseshoes, sack races, pumpkin decorating, inflatable bouncy... volleyball court on-site and you can fish with your family too, so bring your fishing gear!

Buffet Dinner & keg beer provided ('til it runs out, you lushes!). Cash bar available. Please advise if there are any special dietary requests, e.g. vegetarian requests.
PRICING is as follows:
$45 single / $75 couple, if registration received before August 15
$60 single / $100 couple, if registration received August 16 - September 15
flat $75 per person, if registration received after September 15 / at the door
Price includes the Saturday Family afternoon and the Saturday evening affair, and all associated costs to promote & produce both events.
In June, registration information was mailed to all classmates for whom we have valid & current mailing addresses. So PLEASE, if you haven't already done so, please update your information in your profile asap. If you do not want your address to actually show on your profile, go to EDIT PROFILE and un-check the box "Contact Detail"; but your address will be kept "on file" by the Web Administrator for reference for future information for this reunion and additional ones to come. And if you know of classmates who have yet to make a profile, please ask them to sign up so that they don't miss out on important registration information. Returned checks subject to a $20 charge. For those interested in reserving a hotel room for the evening of October 3rd, we have set up a room block with special room rates at the neighboring Comfort Inn: $76.95 + tax for double occupancy and $99 + tax for a Suite. (740) 775-3500 and ask for the group room rate for the CHS Class of 1989.
Fundraising Events: with the hope of raising funds for this & future '89 events, we will be having a few fundraising activities. One of these activities will be a Silent Auction at the dinner on October 3rd. We're grateful for anyone who might have a personal or corporate contact that may be able to donate a service, gift item or monetary gift card that we can auction. We've already started by looking for talents within our own classmates. Thanks to browsing Facebook, I noticed that Renita Nunley has an eye for creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewelry. And Johnnie Johnson has a penchant for taking all things automotive and creating his own unique artwork/furniture. Both have generously agreed to donate a creation or 2 to the auction (still in guys?). Anyone else out there like to show us what they got? Artwork, photography, business services. As long as it's legal, we'd love to showcase it for you! Please contact your Silent Auction Chairs (Lissa Fewster Cleary and Lisa Woodruff Davis) or any Reunion Committee member.
The Ordering Deadline for the customized CHS mousepads and shirts has passed. Please contact Brooke Wooldridge Adams (shirts) or Cam Morris (mousepads) if you would like to inquire about any extras we may have. Mousepads @ $8 each. And for those who remember our senior class t-shirt with all the classmates names on the back? We will be offering another rendition of that shirt. $18 for Adult sizes S, M, L, XL. $20 for XXL and up. Please note that all sizing are MEN's sizing, so ladies, please order accordingly. All proceeds to go to our CHS '89 fund.
