     With deepest sympathy and fervent prayers, the Staff & Management of Cooper Funeral Home announces the earthly transition of Mr. Gary Paul Gilchrist, of Chipley, Florida, on November 20, 2023 in Bonifay, Florida.  He was 62 years old and a native of Washington County, Florida.

    Gary was blessed with the breath of life on October 15, 1961 to the parentage of Mr. Levoid & Mrs. Annie Deloris (Patterson) Gilchrist in Chipley, Florida.  Being raised in a Christian home, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a member of  Mt. Ararat First Missionary Baptist Church of Chipley, Florida. 

    Gary leaves to cherish his memories his beloved mother: Mother Annie Deloris Gilchrist of Chipley, Florida; two brothers: Timothy (Patricia) Gilchrist of Temple Hill, Maryland, and Terry (Denise) Gilchrist of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; beloved aunt: Edith Harris of Chipley, Florida;  along with a large host of other relatives and friends.
